Factoria Circula, performing in the Rodafonio, the coolest thing you're going to see all year, that isn't at SEMA (cause who knows right?!)

a Catalan music band and this is their original performance/vehicle "Rodafonio."

The music is what they call "Pilu Spagnolo" which is a Spanish (Spagnolo) twist to melodic Indian classical music (Pilu).

The three musicians are swapped out - in one video there is a trombone player instead of a saxophone.

Cesar Alvarez built the "weapon of joy" device (rodafonio) in 2010.

Here's their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/factoria.circular?fref=ts

Thanks Steve!

Unusual locomotive design

A rare picture of the second Fontaine, shown here arriving at St Thomas, Ontario, Canada, in July 1881, for trails on the Canada Southern Railroad. Engineer Ike Deyell stands in the gangway, whileFireman George Westfall is leaning from the cab.
 From A Locomotive Engineer's Album
 George B Abdill 1965

The cylinders were 17 x 24 in, the wheelbase was 23 ft 4 in, and the total heating surface (firebox + tubes) was 1033.5 sq ft. Total weight was 82,000 lb.
