A "gone in 60 seconds" car theft operation busted in Atlanta

Harley stolen in 1972 from a cops backyard intercepted while getting shipped out of the US

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Outbound Enforcement Team officers at the Los Angeles/Long Beach (LA/LB) seaport intercepted a stolen 60 year-old 1954 FL Harley-Davidson Hydra-Glide motorcycle, destined to Australia.

 CBP seized it on September 9 and turned it over to authorities for further investigation and return to its rightful owner. The bike, which features a trumpet-style horn, was stolen from a North Carolina police officer's backyard on March 4, 1972.

it has 4 previous owners that weren't aware that this was stolen, since DMV doesn't check if vehicles are stolen when registering and titleing them. Ridiculous isn't it!

Lesson to learn from, 4 vintage Harley Davidson bikes all in one trailer, in a hotel parking garage, stolen but soon recovered. Don't walk away from your trailer full of valuable racing stuff. If you don't guard it, the thieves will take it

 4-Motorcycle Cannonball bikes, their support truck and trailer were stolen from the parking lot of the Hotel Murano in Tacoma, Washington Monday night

A lot of stolen cars are getting sold to out of the country buyers, but getting discovered by the cops at the port of LA

This Jag was stolen in new York 6 months after being bought, in 1968, and just turned up as stolen when checked out by the port of LA types that make sure cars aren't leaving the country illegally.
